SEO is so often ignored with new website builds and it is probably one of the most important things to consider when outlining and developing a website from scratch. Most, if not all so called web designers on Fivrr or other places will be quite capable of building beautiful websites, however, in most cases the important (an time consuming) tasks are either left out completely or they try and do them as an after thought.
If you want your website to be well coded, look nice and actually stand a chance and ranking well organically, consider using someone with knowledge and skills to get the whole project done.
SEO for existing websites
If you own a website already, the first step towards doing any form of SEO analysis would be to connect it to Google Site tools and Google Analytics. Bing (Microsoft) has similar tools and can also be explored but the focus will be primarily on utilising Google Analytics.
Assuming your website hasn’t been connected with these services it will take a few weeks for data to be collected, which will enable me to assess which problems to tackle first. If however, your site has already generated data on Google Analytics, it would be easier to make small changes and experiment with landing pages once all the obvious problems are rectified.
SEO for new websites
In most cases, this is actually easier and harder for different reasons. It’s easier because a strategy can be compiled having done keyword research for your business and choosing which keywords you’d like to rank for. Then, it’s just a case of methodically building and writing copy optimised for those keywords making sure to follow a certain set of rules.
When building a website from scratch it may not be obvious which keywords one should create landing pages to help drive traffic to your site, so in some cases this can be an added service. The creations of these added landing pages will be included in one of our service packages (Silver, Gold)
